She's back in jail. Amy Winehouse was arrested this morning in London. The Olympic Torch was making its way through London when the singer grabbed the torch from a runner and attempted to smoke it. Security moved in and quickly drove her away. There were all sorts of bruises on her face and body when she arrived at the jail. She was examined by a jail doctor who blamed the bruising on a case of Amy Winehouse being Amy Winehouse.
Dr. Phil is on his way to London to bail out troubled singer Amy Winehouse who was arrested today. Recently, Dr. Phil made headlines when his staffers bailed out a a teenager in Florida who, along with seven other teens, was charged with beating up a classmate on videotape. This time Dr. Phil is doing the bailing out himself. The Doc had this to say at the airport:
"When someone is in trouble, there's only one person who can help, and that's Oprah. Unfortunately, she's busy preparing for her follow-up interview with Tom Cruise. So I got the call."
Dr. Phil did confirm rumors that he has started a bail bonds business on the side, saying, "Franchising. It's all about franchising."
Seeking to assist someone they called a “severely troubled friend of ours,” Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan and Vanessa Hudgens on Saturday staged an intervention for singer Amy Winehouse. “It’s crucial that Amy’s celebrity friends who are more stable and in control of their lives help her out at this difficult time,” the trio said in a statement.
