CW cancels Supernatural, Smallville, picks up Super Rich Sluts, Ultra Rich Skanks

The CW Network announced a last minute change to its fall schedule today, canceling veteran Thursday night shows "Smallville" and "Supernatural" and replacing them with newly picked up teen soaps "Super Rich Sluts" and "Ultra Rich Skanks."

"Our market research shows that quality genre programs like 'Smallville' and 'Supernatural' don't appeal to our new target audience of 12-25 year-old whores and wanna-be whores," said CW president Dawn Ostroff. "I am very excited about our new shows 'Super Rich Sluts' and 'Ultra Rich Skanks,' which I predict will be big hits with our demographic once we write scripts, cast actors, and shoot the first episodes in the next week."

Ostroff also announced that the CW is changing the name of its new show "90210" to "Beverly Hills Ho-Bags and Man-Whores."

damn, it's illogical to cancel Supernatural!! So naturally, Dawn would do it. Smallville is a good quality show but peaked a few seasons ago and I wouldn't keel over if it was cancelled. It's had a good run. Supernatural on the other hand only asked for seasons 4 and 5 before it will end itself...keep SPN!!!

We can laugh now but this is, after all, what Ostroff apparently looks for in a show. She's already done this time and again with Smallville anyway; look at Nois and Lana. The only way it could get worse is if she made it all whores all the time. It's the Ostroff way!

I pray every day for Supernatural to be cancelled. It was a great show but now is sh!t.

Damn! I almost had a heart attack! But I agree with KatieL, don't give Dawn any ideas. She would do this. And that would probably be the downfall of the CW.
And to kripkesuckssomuch: It's funny, some people would say that Kripke was Padalecki obsessed. But guess what. This is a story about both brothers. What happens to one brother, effects another. So if you really want to bash the show and the people involved, stop watching the show and keeping up with the news.
And I'm sure that Jared would not appreciate your bashing of Jensen.
